The Emeishan basalt distribution area in Southwest Guizhou Province is located in the north of Nanpanjiang-Youjiang metallogenic area. The metallogenic geological conditions in the area are superior and the prospecting prospect is good.According to the metallogenic pattern established for gold prospecting in Southwest Guizhou, the restudy of existing research results and the verification of a large number of deep drilling projects, the Damaidi medium-scale gold deposit and the Jiadi large-scale gold deposit hosted in Emeishan basalt have been successively discovered in the Emeishan basalt distribution area in the southwest of Guizhou Province,a major breakthrough in primary gold exploration achieved.New discoveries and understandings have been obtained:the Xinmachang anticline controls the distribution of gold deposits in this area, and almost all gold deposits occur in the southeast wing of Xinmachang anticline;Lianhuashan anticline is a secondary fold, formed from the southeast wing of Xinmachang anticline under the later stage traction. The gold ore bodies mainly occurred in the structural alteration near the core of Lianhuashan anticline and on the secondary fold belt of southeast wing series, and on the interlayer fracture zone of Emeishan basalt;the ore-forming fluid is characterized by low temperature,medium-low salinity and low density;the gas phase composition of CO2-H2O gas-liquid two-phase inclusions in ore-forming fluid is mainly H2O and minor CH4,while the gas phase composition of CH4-H2O gas-liquid two-phase inclusions is mainly CH4 and minor CO2.
