In view of the present situation of the initial mining of an open-pit gold mine,such as mainly mining oxidized ores,postponing the mining time of mixed ore and sulphide ores,reasonably arranging the mining plan of No.Ⅰand No.Ⅱ mineralization zone,the staged and zoned mining technology is designed and applied.Within the settled mining boundary,several zones are pided and  the  mining and stripping sequence of each zone is arranged reasonably in order to delay the stripping peak and balance the stripping ratio.The paper in detail introduced the staged and zoned mining technology,mining and stripping process,mining extension rate and infrastructure progress and  so on in the open-pit gold mine.The staged and zoned mining technology is used,and reasonable initial section is chosen so that the infrastructure project requires less work and the mine development is more profitable.
