Abstract:

In order to explore the characteristics of a gold ore,a detailed technological mineralogical study was carried out based on BPMA automatic test system, microscope and chemical analysis. The mineral compositions and main minerals embedding characteristics in the ore are investigated, and the mineralogical factors that influence gold and silver recovery are analyzed. The results showed that the ore is refractory gold ore with high sulfur, arsenic and calcium content, containing 6.62 g/t gold and 58.90 g/t silver;the main metal minerals are pyrite and arsenopyrite, mostly in the form of coarse-medium-sized grain embedding and small part of them in the form of fine grain embedding;gangue minerals mainly include calcite and dolomite;gold is mainly included in sulfide, accounting for 88.50 %,with fine grains of native gold and a small amount of electrum that has detrimental effect on gold recovery;independent mineral grain size of silver generally is lower than 0.020 mm,which is the main reason that influences silver recovery. The technological mineralogical research results provide basis for the utilization and development of the ore resources.
