Abstract:

1:10 000 soil geochemical survey was carried out in Guanyinshan mining area in the peripheral of Jinchang,Mojiang,to narrow the prospecting target area and obtain favorable ore-forming elements. The results of soil geochemical survey samples are analyzed by mathematical statistics. The geochemical characteristics of ore-forming elements are used for multivariate statistical analysis, single element and combination anomaly analysis. The ore-forming target area is delineated and verified by route geological survey and surface engineering. The results show that Au and Ni are favorable ore-forming elements in Guanyinshan mining area, and Au-Ag-As-Sb and Ni-Co-Mn-Cu combination anomalies can be used as prospecting indicators for gold and nickel.1 gold ore-forming target area and 1 nickel ore-forming target area are delineated respectively.Through engineering verification,6 gold mineralization zones(veins) and 5 nickel mineralization zones are found. This study can provide a scientific basis for the next-step exploration and evaluation of Guanyinshan mining area and the search for gold and nickel deposits.
