Abstract:

As important secondary resource, zinc smelting slag contains a large amount of valuable metals, making it worth utilizing as resources. For the waste slag produced by a domestic zinc smelting enterprise, the silver grade is 418 g/t and the lead grade is 8.98 %.The lead and silver are leached and recovered by the chloride salt method. The effects of the amount of sodium chloride, sodium chlorate and hydrochloric acid, leaching temperature, leaching time and liquid-solid ratio on the leaching rate of lead and silver were investigated respectively. The best process conditions are as follows:sodium chloride dosage is 410 g/L,hydrochloric acid dosage is 10 mL,liquid-solid ratio is 91,and leaching temperature is 90 for full leaching for 2.5 h.Under the best conditions, the leaching rates of lead and silver are 95.4 % and 90.5 %,respectively.
