Dayingezhuang Gold District is located in the middle of Zhaoping fault zone and is a super large-scale gold deposit in Northwest Jiaodong Peninsula.Gamma spectrometry is used for survey in the east and south of Ore Zone Ⅰ in Dayingezhuang Gold District with the surveyed area 12 km2 and the grid 120 m×50 m.The results show that remarkable spatial superposition emerges among K,U,Th and total anomalies. The biggest composite anomaly appears in west of the survey area and corresponds to the outcrop of Zhaoping fault zone and the location of south ore bodies in the Ore Zone Ⅰ.The composite anomaly in the middle of the survey area is next, the north of which corresponds to the location of deep ore bodies in the Ore Zone Ⅰ.The composite anomaly in the east of the survey area is relatively small but has high anomaly concentrations and continuity.Based on related analysis,K and total anomalies are determined as the main prospecting marks for gamma spectrometry,U and Th anomalies are determined as the auxiliary prospecting marks.Based on the tectonic geochemical anomaly,6 prospecting target areas are delineated for concealed ore bodies deep in the Ore Zone Ⅰ.The prospecting target area A-1 was the first to be verified by drilling engineering and new gold ore bodies were discovered in it,indicating that gamma spectrometry is an effective means to prospect deep concealed ore bodies in Northwest Jiaodong Peninsula.
