Abstract:

The process mineralogy of a gold ore from Qinghai is studied by means of microscope,X-ray diffracto-meter and chemical analysis, and the mineral composition, embedding status of main mineral, embedding grain size are investigated. The results show that the main valuable elements are gold associated with low-grade silver. The gold grade is 4.20 g/t,silver grade <2.0 g/t,carbon grade 1.17 % and sulfur grade 1.92 %,indicating that the gold ore belongs to microfine-super microfine disseminated high-carbon low-sulfur extremely refractory gold ore; gold is wrapped in arsenopyrite and pyrite, mainly in form of mircofine and super microfine particles, part of the gold is embedded in gangue minerals in form of monomer gold; arsenopyrite and pyrite are embedded in coarse grain, the gold wrapped in sulfide mineral can be recovered via preliminary grinding while the gold in gangue minerals needs to be ground further before recovery.
