Structural ore control in Beiya gold polymetallic high ore concentration area,West Yunnan,and prospecting potentials in the deep part and peripherals—A case study of Wandongshan District

Abstract:

Beiya gold polymetallic high ore concentration area is located between Jinshajiang-Honghe,Binchuan-Chenghai and Lijiang-Muli fracture zones.A large amount of alkaline-rich porphyry rock intrudes along Jinshajiang-Honghe fracture and its peripherals.Beiya gold polymetallic high ore concentration area is located in the alkaline-rich porphyry rock zone around Heqing-Xiangyun area.The structural main stress has been through near EW-near SN orientation shifts.Near SN facture is the pre-mineralization structure,near EW fracture is the post-mineralization structure.There are mainly 3 groups of fractures in Wandongshan District,namely the near SN fracture,near NE fracture and near EW fracture.Among them,the near SN fracture has obvious rock control and ore control property,and is closely connected with Wandongshan rock intrusions.Based on the study on the relationship between structures and mineralization,the paper predicts that there are potentials in prospecting skarn type and structural broken zone type ore bodies along F6 fracture,deep in its near SN fracture and on the peripherals of the district.The interlayer broken zone,fold bending and collapse sections are all favorable parts for prospecting.The intersection of near SN structure and structures trending in other directions are conducive to ore body formation and enrichment.There are potentials in prospecting porphyry copper polymetallic deposits in deep part and the peripherals of Beiya gold polymetallic high ore concentration area.
