Abstract:

The Tawangshan Gold Deposit is located in the southwest of the Gezhen ductile shear zone in southwestern Hainan Province. The outcropped granite is mainly Indosinian porphyritic granite and Yanshanian biotite granite and the ore body is mainly related to porphyric granite. The litho-geochemical characteristics show that the granite in the district belongs to calcic rock-high kalium calc-alkali rock, with w(K2O)>w(Na2O)and the Rittman index 0.49 to 2.39.Furthermore,porphyritic granite is S type granite, while biotite granite is I type granite. The rare earth elements are low in mass fraction.LREE’s fractionation degree is evidently high than HREE and with negative Eu anomaly, and are evidently enriched in large ion lithophile element and depleted in high field strength element.Porphyritic granite formed in the continental collision dynamics, with the source rock type being water-containing clay-rich argillaceous rock. While biotite granite formed in the volcanic arc tectonic environment, with the source rock type being heterogeneous sandstone and clastic rocks.
