Abstract: The upper and middle rock sections in Honglingshan Formation outcropping from Xiaogouli Gold District are in conformable contact. The two form compressive structural fracture zone， the main ore-controlling structure as well as the main ore-hosting strata of ore (mineralized) body. Since the orebodies are distributed in groups and zones， the district can be divided into 3 ore zones， namely the north， middle and south. The 1-3 orebody is distributed in the north， 20-1 and 22 orebodies are distributed in the middle. The 3 orebodies are not yet pinched out and concealed deep in strike and in inclination. It is therefore considered that there are good prospecting potentials along the strike and in the deep part. According to the ore occurrence characteristics， 3 prospecting targets are delineated. Verified by engineering， ore (mineralized) bodies are detected in all 3 prospecting targets， indicating good prospecting potentials deep in Xiaogouli Gold District.
