Abstract: In the process of solid mineral resources estimation， the geological industry has not reached a consensus on whether to deal with large-thickness projects and with what methods to deal with them， especially during the rock gold resources estimation. In a case study of a rock gold deposit in Guangxi， the study uses 5 different methods to deal with the large-thickness project， compares and analyzes them， and discusses the related problems in determining the threshold and method of large-thickness projects treatment， so as to provide a reference for the estimation of solid mineral resources.
