Abstract: Baotou Xinda Company has left a large number of low-grade gold ore resources. To meet the requirements of mining operations， the low-grade gold ore resources are in urgent need to be utilized. The paper analyzed the feasibility to develop low-grade gold ore resources. The influence factors include a high level of gold market price， improving ore-dressing technology. Besides， the development agrees with the requirements of green mine construction. According to the minimum industrial grade index determined through re-calculation， the ore bodies are re-delineated， realizing full development and utilization of low-grade gold ore resources， prolonging mine service life， and creating good social and economic profits.
