Abstract:
The main valuable element in cyanide tailings from a gold processing plant in Shandong is iron, with a grade of 20.29 %. The minerals mainly exist in the form of magnetite, limonite, and iron silicate. Due to the fine dissemination size of the cyanide tailings and the low theoretical iron content of limonite, beneficiation tests were carried out to obtain high-grade iron concentrate as much as possible. The test results show that the combined process of low-intensity magnetic roughing, high-intensity magnetic roughing, and table cleaning can realize the recovery and utilization of iron resources. If the low-intensity magnetic concentrate, table middlings, and table concentrate are combined, an iron concentrate with an iron grade of 59.27 % and an iron recovery of 48.01 % can be obtained; if the low-intensity magnetic concentrate and table concentrate are combined, an iron concentrate with an iron grade of 61.21 % and an iron recovery of 46.66 % can be obtained.
