Abstract: The cyanide tailings treatment process in a gold smelter is costly and the total cyanide compound content in the tailings fluctuates significantly after treatment. In this experiment， a low-temperature roasting cyanide destruction method was used for cyanide tailings treatment. The results show that under the conditions of a roasting temperature of 325 ℃ and a roasting time of 40 min， the total cyanide compound content in the treated tailings is lower than 5 g/t， and the cost of cyanide tailings treatment can be significantly reduced. This study provides a reference for cyanide destruction treatment of similar cyanide tailings.
