Abstract:
Gold and antimony are of great importance to the national economy. To achieve efficient and comprehensive recovery of gold and antimony from a gold-antimony deposit while reducing environmental pollution, a study on process mineralogy and flotation experiments was conducted. The results of the process mineralogy study showed that the ore has a gold grade of 2.16 g/t and an antimony grade of 0.67 %, both of which are of recoverable value. The main gold minerals are native gold, electrum, and silver-gold telluride, while the primary antimony mineral is stibnite, both showing good floatability. The flotation test results indicate that using the combined gold-antimony bulk flotation followed by separation of gold flotation, with BK526 as an environmentally friendly inhibitor for gold-antimony separation, produced an antimony concentrate with a grade of 57.31 % and a recovery rate of 87.25 %, and a gold concentrate with a grade of 45.34 g/t and a recovery rate of 82.28 %, achieving efficient and environmentally friendly flotation separation of antimony and gold.
