Abstract:
The Songshunangou Gold Deposit is located in the North Qilian Orogenic Belt and is a typical porphyry-hydrothermal composite gold deposit influenced by multi-stage tectonic-magmatic activities. An in-depth understanding of its metallogenic mechanism can provide scientific guidance for deep exploration. Therefore, regional geological background analysis, investigation of deposit geological characteristics, and a combination of geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques were integrated to build a “tectonic-magmatic-fluid-alteration” four-in-one metallogenic prediction model. The results reveal that the orebodies are primarily hosted in the Upper Ordovician intermediate-mafic volcanic rock formations and strictly controlled by the Dabanshan deep fault and its secondary fault structures. Geophysical induced polarization (IP) anomalies and magnetic anomalies clearly reveal the spatial distribution characteristics of the orebodies, while geochemical anomaly analysis delineates multiple prospecting targets. Further 3D stress field simulation uncovers the structural control on mineralization, with a model accuracy of 85 %. The research indicates that the formation of the Songshunangou Gold Deposit is closely related to the subduction and multi-stage tectonic-magmatic activities of the North Qilian Orogenic Belt. Based on the metallogenic prediction model, 5 prospecting targets were delineated, among which Targets I and II exhibit Class B potential, validating the effectiveness of numerical simulation in deep exploration. The research results provide both an important basis for further exploration and development of the Songshunangou Gold Deposit, and new ideas and approaches for metallogenic mechanism research and exploration practice of similar composite deposits.
