Abstract:
Aiming at the resource crisis of insufficient backup reserves caused by the separation of exploration from mining in gold mines in the western Liaoning region, the No. ① orebody of the Shajingou Gold Deposit was taken as the research object. On the basis of fully absorbing existing geological data, an analysis of the metallogenic geological conditions was conducted. Combined with the results of induced polarization intermediate gradient profile measurements, the ore-forming indicators were extracted. A comprehensive prospecting prediction model was established based on the geological characteristics. Based on the comprehensive prospecting prediction model, Dahasonggou was delineated as a prospecting prediction area in the periphery of the deposit. By means of 1:10 000 geological reconnaissance, one fault was delineated in the metadiorite. The surface traceable length is approximately 1.5 km. The orebody was delineated by exploratory trenches, with an average gold grade of 9.74 g/t and a thickness of 1.44 m. Through induced polarization intermediate gradient profile measurements and induced polarization sounding, the orebody was determined to exhibit high-resistivity and low-polarizability characteristics. The orebody is inferred to have a certain extension scale toward depth. By comparison with the comprehensive prospecting prediction model, it is considered to have certain prospecting potential. The research results not only achieved the purpose of delineating new prospecting areas, but also provided a theoretical basis and direction for subsequent resource reserve augmentation in existing mines.
