Abstract:
The method of diamond-shaped sublevel open stoping with subsequent cemented waste rock backfilling is a low-cost and high-efficiency mining method, and a reasonable mining process and corresponding safety assurance technologies are key to the successful application of this mining method. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the mining and technical conditions at Xingshan Iron Mine, a suitable technical scheme for diamond-shaped sublevel open stoping with subsequent cemented waste rock backfilling was proposed for the end orebody. Based on theoretical analysis and experimental research, the required strength and material design parameters of the cemented waste rock backfill were determined. The safe thickness of the backfill roof was analyzed using empirical methods, theoretical calculations, and numerical simulations. Based on engineering experience, the safety measures for the cemented waste rock backfill were determined. The results show that the proposed technical scheme for diamond-shaped sublevel open stoping with subsequent cemented waste rock backfilling can enable the safe and efficient extraction of the end orebody at Xingshan Iron Mine, effectively maintain backfill stability, and provide a useful reference for the safe and efficient extraction of similar orebodies in other mines.
