Abstract: Laoyachao Gold Deposit is located in the middle of Shuikoushan lead-zinc-gold-silver ore field and is a crypto-explosive breccia type gold deposit. Based on the previous research results, the method where field geological survey and laboratory analysis and testing are combined is used to study and analyze the morphology and distribution, petrological characteristics, zoning and ore control of crypto-explosive breccia, on the basis of summarizing the geological characteristics of the mining area and the deposit in detail. The results show that the gold ore bodies are mainly produced in the crypto-explosive breccia, and the morphology, occurrence, scale and location are strictly controlled by it. The crypto-explosive breccia belt is controlled by fault F₁, which is a west-dipping vein body with complex composition and strong alteration, and has obvious horizontal and vertical zoning characteristics. Crypto-explosive breccia and alteration development areas are the main direction to search for the same type of gold ore body in the future.
