镀铑白色18K金饰品中金量的测定

Study on gold content determination in rhodium-plated white 18K gold jewelry

  • 摘要: 采用X射线荧光光谱法和火试金法对6件不同生产厂家的镀铑白色18K金饰品中金量进行测定,并利用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱(ICP-OES)法测定火试金法分金卷中铑。结果表明:X射线荧光光谱法测定的6件样品中,只有1件样品的铑质量分数高于1 %、小于2 %,其余均小于1 %,说明大部分样品镀铑层很薄,且厚度相差不大;ICP-OES法测定的6件样品分金卷中,铑质量分数均小于0.020 ‰,说明样品表面的铑元素可能在灰吹过程中受其他杂质元素裹挟被灰皿吸收,对金量的测定影响很小;火试金法完全可用来测定镀铑白色18K金饰品中金量。

     

    Abstract: The purity of rhodium-plated white 18K gold jewelry from 6 different manufacturers was tested by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and fire assay,and the rhodium content of gold rolls from fire assay was detected by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).The results showed that only 1 of the 6 samples tested by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry had a rhodium content of more than 1 % and less than 2 %,and the rest were less than 1 %,indicating that the thickness of the rhodium-plated layer in most samples was similar and thin.ICP-OES results confirmed that the rhodium mass fraction in the gold rolls of 6 samples is less than 0.020 ‰,indicating that the rhodium element on the surface of the sample may be trapped by other impurity elements and absorbed by the ash dish during cupellation process,which had little effect on the detection of gold content.The method can totally be used to determine the gold content of rhodium-plated white 18K gold jewelry.
