Abstract:
Experimental study on cyanide removal from low-concentration cyanide wastewater in a gold mine is carried out, investigating the treatment performance of hydroperoxide oxidation, ferrous salt precipitation,INCO and biooxidation solution method. The results show that the 4 methods all can lower the total cyanide below 0.5 mg/L.The biooxidation solution method doesn’t generate reagent cost while the ferrous salt precipitation reagent cost is merely 0.10 yuan/m3.In terms of feasibility, the pH in the biooxidation solution method should be controlled at 6 which is not easily reached,so the ferrous salt precipitation method is recommended. The biooxidation solution method provides a new perspective in the treatment of low-concentration cyanide wastewater for mining enterprises.
