Abstract: The smelter of Baotou Xinda mining company altered the shape of individual tank liners,avoiding the flush and corrosion by the milling media and slurry to the tank part at the included angle in the ball mill,and reducing wearing of the tank in the ball mill,at the late stage of use of ball mill liners.Small winches are used to replace the tank liners fast and  safe  in the ball mill,shortening the replacement time by about 30 h.The practice can provide reference when other medium-sized overflow ball mills are to replace liners.
