Abstract: The Longkou-Tudui Gold District is located in the northeast of the Jiaolai Basin.The district controlled ore bodies mainly spread shallower than the -400 m elevation and are small-scale and discontinuous.However,exploration breakthroughs have been made in the adjacent Liaoshang and Xilaokou gold districts below the -500 m elevation and the ore bodies are thick and large-scale.By comparing the geological characteristics of the Longkou-Tudui Gold Deposit and the Liaoshang and Xilaokou gold deposits and based on regional metallogenic settings,it is indicated that there are great resource potentials in the deep levels of Longkou-Tudui Gold District and the deep prospecting should be carried out on the contact zone of Muniushan rock mass and Jingshan group strata.
