Abstract:
Karst oxidized ore body develops in the shallow part while primary ore body develops in the deep part of the Grande Copper Deposit in Boko Songho Ore District in Republic of the Congo. The paper compared and analyzed the spatial relation and ore-forming characteristics of the 2 types of ore bodies, and reckoned that the 2 had the same ore-forming material source and that they were ore bodies seating themselves in different floors of the same building under identical ore-forming conditions. After a long period of weathering and denudation, the upper ore bodies near the surface got oxidized and enriched by secondary migration and formed karst oxide ore bodies. On this basis, the metallogenic model was summarized, which can provide guidance for the exploration of deep primary ore body.
